Transgender - One Person’s Journey is about the inner process of transition from beginning to end. About the pain of hiding, the disclosure of the body’s secrets, the relief and redemption of living as an authentic self. About how being trans affects your whole life, starting from childhood. How it doesn’t stop with your last surgery. Transgender – One Person’s Journey is about the places where I, as a trans person, have traveled.
This exhibition deals with difficult issues such as suicide and hate crimes and also shows the human body in its natural state without clothing.
Some imagery may be difficult or cause close minded people to think more than they are comfortable with.
Please call the Trans Lifeline if you are a trans person in need of help.
